We offer the Ploughman's Lunch. The name is deceiving as often
the entire family contributed to all aspects of farm life.
Women and men laboured side by side, as depicted in the
"First Harvest in Canada", a JD Kelly print (source: thecanadasite.com) which hung at Rose Bank Cottage at the Ross Farm Museum.
Enjoy a traditional lunch at Ross Farm Museum or the Lion's Park.
We provide local, individually prepared food in a handmade bag or basket filled with linens in keeping with the period, utensils and a cutting board crafted by a fifth generation descendant of the Ross Family.
How it works. On the left of the menu, write in the box the number
of each item you want. On the right, circle the total dollar amount.
We add a $20 deposit, refunded with the return of the picnic bag and contents. For parties of 1 to 12. Presently, it's cash only.
Peruse the Ploughman's Lunch menu. Come, enjoy a picnic and make the farm food connection.
We celebrate local and amazing food producers who make this lunch possible.
